Connecting

Method: Admin API Key

  1. Sign in to platform.openai.com and go to Settings → Organization → Admin keys.
  2. Click Create, and give the key a name (for example, plutus-billing).
  3. Copy the key immediately — OpenAI only shows it once.
  4. In Plutus, paste the key into the Admin API Key field and save. Plutus calls the Costs API to pull daily spend by model and project.

Notes

Section titled “Notes”

A regular API key (sk-…) or project-scoped key will not work here and always fails — this connection needs an Admin key from Settings → Organization → Admin keys.
