Redis Cloud

  • Invoiced cost by database, region, and Redis Cloud service tier (FOCUS cost report)

Method: Account Key + Secret Key

  1. In the Redis Cloud console, go to Access Management > API Keys and enable the API for your account if it isn’t already enabled. Your user needs the Owner, Billing admin, or Viewer role — the cost report endpoint rejects any other role.
  2. Copy the Account Key shown on that page. This is an account-wide key sent as the x-api-key header.
  3. On the same page, create a user API key and copy its Secret Key. It’s shown only once, so save it before leaving the page.
  4. Paste the Account Key and Secret Key into the connection form in Plutus.

Plutus generates a FOCUS-format cost report over the Redis Cloud API on each sync and imports its BilledCost lines. Redis caps each report at a 40-day range, so a longer backfill runs as several successive report requests.

Redis Cloud’s cost report quotes list price. Account-specific negotiated discounts, credits and marketplace charges are applied on your invoice but do not appear in the report, so an account on a negotiated rate will see Plutus read high against what it is actually billed. Network costs for Pro subscriptions exist only from November 2025 onward, appear at the subscription level rather than per database, and can take up to 72 hours after the end of a month to land.
