Hetzner Cloud
What Plutus imports
Section titled “What Plutus imports”- Active servers, volumes, load balancers, and IPs, by project
Connecting
Section titled “Connecting”Method: API Token (one per Project)
Hetzner scopes API tokens per project, so you need one token per Hetzner Cloud project you want to track.
- In the Hetzner Cloud Console, open the project you want to connect, then go to Security > API Tokens.
- Click Generate API Token. Grant it Read permission and copy the token — Hetzner only shows it once.
- In Plutus, enter a Project Label to identify this project (for example, “Production”) and paste the token into API Token.
- Repeat steps 1–3 for each additional Hetzner project you want Plutus to track. Each project needs its own labeled token.
Plutus calls each project’s API to price its active servers, volumes, load balancers, and IPs, and reports the cost broken down by project.
Hetzner Cloud has no historical billing API, so costs are estimated from each project’s currently active resources’ published pricing rather than actual invoiced spend.
