Chargebee

Pull-based usage source — Plutus fetches on a schedule, unlike the push-based usage ingestion API.

Connecting

Method: API Key

1. In Chargebee, go to Settings > Configure Chargebee > API Keys and click Create a Key.
2. Set the key’s access level to Read-Only. Plutus only reads usage, items, item prices, and subscriptions — it doesn’t need write access.
3. Copy the generated key. You’ll also need your site name — the subdomain in your Chargebee URL (for https://acme.chargebee.com, the site name is acme).
4. In Plutus, enter the site name and paste the API key. Plutus pulls usage records for every metered item price on a schedule from then on.

Notes

Chargebee usage records only exist on Product Catalog 2.0 sites with metered item prices. A site still on the legacy plan/addon catalogue has no usage to pull, and the sync will say so rather than reporting zero usage. Chargebee records no unit of measure on a usage row — the unit shown comes from the item’s own “unit of measure” field, and is blank where that was left unset.
