What Plutus imports
Section titled “What Plutus imports”- Invoiced spend by product, region, and usage type (monthly)
Connecting
Section titled “Connecting”Method: API Token
- Sign in to the Fastly web interface with a user that has the Billing role (or a superuser account) — billing data isn’t readable by an engineer-scoped token.
- Go to Account → Personal profile → API tokens and click Create token.
- Give the token global scope with read access.
- Copy the token now — Fastly only shows it once.
- In Plutus, paste the token into the API Token field and save. It’s sent as the
Fastly-Keyheader.
Plutus reads your posted invoices and the current month-to-date invoice, and breaks each one down by product, region, and usage type.
Fastly bills monthly and publishes no daily cost data, so spend lands as one point per billing cycle rather than a daily series. The current cycle comes from the month-to-date invoice, which Fastly returns without a currency — so it is only imported once at least one posted invoice exists to read the account’s billing currency from.
